Belgian DJ Charlotte de Witte continues to dominate the Top Techno DJ category as the World’s No. 1 Techno DJ for the seventh consecutive year by DJ Mag, while climbing the overall ranks in the publication’s Top 100 DJs.
The DJ, who previously held the position of No. 9 in the category, has climbed three places to sixth in the most recent poll.
Ms de Witte, who holds dual nationality in Belgium and the Netherlands, announced the news on social media, thanking fans for their continued support.
“The fact that I am winning for the seventh year running makes it no less special,” she said. “This is proof of the incredible bonds we forge through music and the amazing moments we share on the dance floor.”
Ms de Witte, who has been a pioneer of techno music, has been recognised as one of the world’s biggest DJs by virtue of her achievements, influence and reach in the field.
The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story at [unvrs] Ibiza on 6th October, marks its 33rd year in celebration of electronic music and dance culture. It compiles votes from fans around the globe through an open voting process.
Ms de Witte’s latest accolade underscores her status as a global techno icon who continues to promote and celebrate techno music, fans and the clubbing culture it embodies.
A new chapter is also being written for Ms de Witte outside the sphere of music – as the Dutch designer apparel brand G-STAR names her Global Brand Ambassador. The multi-year partnership will see her represent G-STAR globally and front the women’s campaign, “Own the Arc”, spotlighting the return of the brand’s iconic Arc jean.
According to G-STAR Chief Brand Officer Gwenda van Vliet, Ms de Witte embodies the discipline, independence and creative conviction associated with G-STAR.
Ms de Witte will also return to Flanders Expo in Ghent in February 2027 for a major two-night event at the 23,000-capacity venue.
“KONNECTED” will take place on Friday 5th February and will feature Charlotte, Nico Moreno, NOVAH and Theo Nasa across B2B and solo sets. On Saturday 6th February, Charlotte will team up with KI/KI for a B2B performance.
