Seth Troxler takes over in Amsterdam for a one-off El Tony Mate Selected Session at Skatecafe, one of the city’s most recognisable skate spaces, with house and techno.
On 10th September, the nite was an intimate affair for a select crowd, with Skatecafe’s ramps forming part of the action. The skaters took over the space and then the crowd followed. It was a space where skating and club culture collided for the rest of the nite.
Detroit-born DJ and producer Troxler closed the nite after years of performances at some of the biggest names in electronic music including Coachella, Sónar, Burning Man, Movement and fabric London. He also made time during the event to sign skateboards for those in attendance.
Dutch duo Emvae & Moxes completed the line-up delivering a high energy B2B set that spanned house, disco, soul, garage, minimal house and moombahton.
The full session is now available to stream online, allowing those who weren’t at the invite-only event to experience the Amsterdam set.
The El Tony Mate’s Selected Sessions, a series of intimate performances from established electronic artists in unconventional locations across Europe, continues with a Skatecafe appearance.
Previous editions of the project have featured artists such as Jen Cardini, Young Marco, DJ Tennis, Bambounou, Sofia Kourtesis and EDE, and has also served as a platform for emerging local artists alongside international headliners.
El Tony Mate’s Culture Collective initiative bridges music with art, events and creative communities, with Selected Sessions focusing especially on local scenes and alternative spaces.
